I am excited to announce that I will be showing new work at the 2019 Autistica Discover conference.
‘Discover is the first national network for autism research, connecting researchers with autistic people, families and professionals.’ – Autistica
The 2019 Autistica Discover conference is being held at the Reading University on the 27th of June and tickets can be purchased here.
The work I will be showcasing at Discover 2019 will bring to life aspects of my own ‘self’. The works will be a truly intimate self-portrait; exploring narratives of communication, functionality and the basic human need for empathy.
I have had the best experience exhibiting new work in ‘Alpha Theta‘ at the Old Biscuit Factory. Art Number 23 has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to collaborating with them in the future.
Alpha – Theta showcased two new books ‘Dream Dissociation One‘ and ‘Dream Dissociation Two‘. Each book is a self-portrait made from three-dimensional scans of my face taken during the summer. They were then translated into screen prints and carefully folded and bound.
I’m really excited to announce I’m exhibiting in Alpha Teta the latest exhibition hosted by Art Number 23. The show opens on 7th February at ‘The Old Biscuit Factory’ London. It will run until the 12th February.
This will be the first time that I have shown my handmade books.
Printmaker Jane Bennett and Photographer Joanna Garrett show new collaborative work at ‘The Test Bed’ on the 17th December 2018.
The show ‘Bennett and Garrett’ is the first exhibition by myself and photographer Joanna Garrett and it was hosted by one of my favourite research facilities ‘In Certain Places’ at the pop-up exhibition and engagement space ‘The Test Bed’.
The State of Print is an Artist Led Nation and it has been a pleasure to be offered citizenship.
SOP is a touring exhibition that questions the nature of states, borders, and reproduction. Each time the state relocates to a new exhibition space it collects ten artists who print ten boxes which are absorbed into the collection. All works respond to the manifesto laid out by the state.
